wouldn't bother with coffee lake since it's on a platform that won't be updated and is essentially outdated, either zen 2 or comet lake, or wait for zen 3. budget? and are you restricted to just these two CPUs? If yes, the 3100 is comparable but runs on a more active platform.
They’re likely to be similar. I’ll take the cheaper option. We don’t know which will be superior later, but the difference shouldn’t be significant.
I’m within the budget range, but I can handle more than just these items.
It would be around 3100, but I’d also check for the 3300x if needed.
