Does that imply they swapped the CPU from their own funds? Probably not much of a gain... it might be around $125 for a new one in U.S. dollars. Sadly, since we're in the country right now due to the economy, an i3 8100 is quite valuable—check the prices I shared for the other person above.

This situation is quite unique. Are there any other details or proof you can share that confirm Intel's actions?

This marks the initial instance where RMA was denied, causing significant consequences. Previous cases stem from Intel's slow response when swapping products and settling for refunds instead of modifications. To illustrate, the Intel RMA process for issues discussed on forums averaged about 20 days, with delays exceeding 40 days over the past year.

They chose direct RMA with Intel because it offered more control and clarity, rather than relying on the vendor’s process for their purchased CPU.

I don't understand why I'm not connected to the store, but for regular customers, shops must provide a three-month guarantee. When the maker offers a three-year warranty (like Intel does), the store adds three months, and the rest comes from the product's manufacturer. It could be that the mandatory three months have already expired with their supplier, which is common for many products and services.
