i am planning to upgrade my processor from an old i5 750 to the new 8th gen 8600k, and i also want to perform a mild overclock around 4.5gHz. i need a cooler that can handle the higher temperatures that come with that upgrade. i was considering the MasterLiquid 120lite RGB AIO because it’s only $40 and looks like a solid entry-level option. is this a suitable choice for someone just starting out, or should i opt for something larger like the Corsair H60?

Hi valornrules,
You don't have to use a noisy and unstable AIO.
4.5GHz is almost at the stock speed (4.3 on all cores with multi-core boost), so you probably won't need to raise the voltage (around 1.15V). Any air cooler should work fine.
You might want to consider an EVO212, dark rock 3, Noctua NH12, etc...
Or opt for a larger model to have more flexibility with a Dark rock pro 3/4 or NH15.
Rodolphe.
