Intel DH61WW motherboard damaged following BIOS upgrade?
Yesterday I upgraded my BIOS on my DH61WW motherboard to version 0120. I followed the instructions in a video, and everything functioned normally with the PC powering on as expected. After a short period I powered it down, then turned it back on and adjusted the BIOS settings. I turned off the Legacy Boot option. My intention was to install Windows 2H22 with UEFI support. After the PC restarted, it emitted two long beeps and the screen went black. I assumed the system was bricked. After a couple to eight seconds, it booted again and displayed the welcome screen. Since I intended to format the disk and install Windows 10 2H22, I wanted to access the boot options. I restarted once to enter them, but the screen remained black and it kept beeping for two long seconds. This time the PC failed to power on at all—only fans spun and the motherboard was dark. I suspected the power supply might be dead, so I replaced it. After a couple of hours, the PC finally turned on. However, there was no boot or display, just a black screen and spinning fans. After leaving it for about 2 to 5 minutes, it restarted itself automatically. I attempted to reset the BIOS by changing a jumper and removing the CMOS battery, but the issue persisted. I found a solution online suggesting leaving the CMOS battery for an hour before reinserting it. After waiting 1 to 2 hours, the PC started working again. I tried removing RAM and booting, which produced the expected beep sounds. Please help me fix this problem. This machine has been reliable until now. It’s perplexing how the power supply failed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Motherboard - Intel DH61WW RAM-16GB Processor -i3 Graphic Card - GT530 SSD
