Found an Intel Core i7-14790F “Black Edition” for just 350USD. No gaming benchmark available yet. Worth considering for longevity? It’s been a while since I played on it—make sure to update the BIOS to avoid performance issues or hardware problems, as many older Intel models can degrade over time.

It's merely a marginally faster i7 13700F, since it's just an 8+8 chip and the 14th Gen offers no significant advantages over the 13th Gen. You can check benchmarks for the 13700F and you'll find similar outcomes—just a few percentage differences. Regarding aging, the higher clock speed means it shares the same vulnerabilities as the 13700F. Because they're identical.

It's not a i7 or i9 K skew, so no longevity/self destruct issues But for gaming I'm pretty confident a 14600K wil beat it, and it's less than $200...

Interesting fact, but gaming doesn't require more than 8P cores and the current LGA1700 CPUs already provide that capacity
