Hello, I'm checking if running DayZ on my Intel Core i5 4590, GTX 960 4GB, and 8GB DDR3 RAM is worth the additional $62 compared to the Intel Core i5 4690K. Let me know if you need help!

OK just get the 4590.
Alright, Will it stream and play DayZ standalone and Arma 3 fine?
The 4690K will do no better. I good idea if you want hyperthreading is to get the Xeon 1241 (or 1231 i forget). It is basically a i7 4770 with no integrated graphics.

CPU plays a lesser role compared to GPU. The distinction between these two components mainly lies in overclockability and base clock speed.
The 4690K and 4590 differ very little in practical performance, making it not worth the extra cost if you're on a budget.
EDIT: If you have more funds, you might consider upgrading to a better GPU. Would you like me to share your parts list?

The 4690K and 4590 are almost identical in real-world performance, so it's not worth the extra cost if you're on a budget.

Yes, I’m planning to upgrade my case first, then my CPU and finally a graphics card. Here’s the link: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/WNgDBm

4460 offers the best return on investment (performance per pound in the UK)
Unless you're fortunate enough to receive a strong 4690k similar to mine, which can be overclocked at lower Vcore voltage, enabling operation above 4Ghz on a budget motherboard and stock cooler.

Aneori9000:
The GPU matters more than the CPU. The main distinction between these chips lies in overclocking ability and base clock speed. The 4690K and 4590 are almost identical in real-world performance, so it's not worth the extra cost unless you're saving.

EDIT: If you have more funds, you might want to upgrade your GPU. Could you share your parts list, please?

Sure! I intend to improve my case first, then upgrade the CPU and graphics card. Here’s the link: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/WNgDBm

Budget question: Your total budget is between $300 and $350 Canadian Dollars.
