I purchased an Intel Centrino WiFi/Bluetooth card for the mini PCIe port on my computer to replace the USB WiFi adapter. After inserting it, the PC doesn<|pad|> to not recognize it. Any advice on getting it set up?

Have you tried using Intel's built-in driver tool?

Check if your mini PCI slot is active in the BIOS. It may connect with SATA ports or controllers, or PCI-E X1 slots.

I completely overlooked that! It seems likely. I’ll get back to you and inform you once it’s confirmed.

So... the results weren’t great. I dug a bit deeper, and maybe it’s because I don’t have the right antennas? It makes sense that just plugging in the card wouldn’t work.

It would still identify it as one of the more recent cards featuring a portion of the WiFi chipset integrated into the CPU. They function only with compatible processors.

You see the device in Device Manager, but still need a USB adapter to connect to WiFi or Bluetooth.
