I received a new laptop and am facing a really annoying issue. I’m only managing about 220Mbit over WiFi, but when I switch to Fedora I see up to 430Mbit, both using an 833Mbit connection. My previous machine with an Intel AC 8265 reaches 390Mbit, possibly due to the antenna placement in the wrist rest affecting performance. I’ve updated the Windows drivers and adjusted advanced settings, but nothing helps. Have others encountered this problem? Any tips beyond reinstalling Windows? The search results suggest tweaking TCP scaling settings, which isn’t helpful, and it seems the networking stack is likely the cause. Wired Ethernet works perfectly, so it probably isn’t the hardware itself.
