Your Acer Extensa 5635 isn't connecting to Wi-Fi on either Linux or Windows 10, and no card is detected. You've already tried reinstalling firmware, checking the rfkill list, reseating the cable, and confirming the hardware looks good. Consider replacing the Wi-Fi adapter—recommended options include the Intel Wi-Fi 6E chipset or a USB 5GHz adapter if available.

I understand you mentioned trying to reinsert it, but I notice the gold contact pads remain visible on the Wi-Fi card, suggesting it might not be fully seated. Could this affect its performance?

I also tried putting it back in two times, but it won’t function. It seems the design was meant to be that way since you pushed it in a lot.

Could you test the card on a different device? It might be that the hardware is faulty.

It's quite an old device, so it's possible it might not last long. The latest mini PCIe card is probably the Intel 7260 AC. You should still have Wi-Fi 5 (AC) working with a new chipset. The one you currently have seems solid and well-aligned. Just watch out for the antenna cable—it can be damaged easily because the connectors are very sensitive.
