The kf had the i-gpu removed. If you don't require nvec, the 5700xt might be a better option. A 2070 super remains solid. The 10600kf will work just as well in games because performance doesn't increase with more cores. 10600kf/k (non f). Edited July 13, 2020 by TofuHaroto

If money isn’t draining your wallet, a Ryzen 5 3600 would perform just as well for 1440p/144. The 10600 offers top gaming performance, yet the 10th Gen chips are still in the early adopter stage.

I’m still hesitant about getting an Intel processor right now due to the price. A 10600k costs roughly $290. You’ll also need a good cooler, so set aside at least $50 for one. For $280 you can get a Ryzen 7 3700x. OR, opt for just a Ryzen 5 3600 for $175. Neither requires a cooler. You could spend $340 on the Intel build or invest the same in a Ryzen 3700x plus extra RAM. Alternatively, the Ryzen 5 3600 for $175 leaves room to upgrade the GPU, which would move you from a 2070 Super to a 2080 Super. If you’re running at 1440p, the CPU won’t be a big factor since most games are still heavily GPU-dependent.

A 9600k/f is nowhere near the capabilities of a 10600k/kf. HT makes a big difference. It really helps a lot.
