Installing Windows 11 on an NVMe drive (ASRock B650M Pro RS and Ryzen 5 7600x)
Installing Windows 11 on an NVMe drive (ASRock B650M Pro RS and Ryzen 5 7600x)
Attempting to set up Win 11 on my new computer.
Formatted my NVMe (XPG Gammix S41) using GPT format. Created a USB installation of Windows via the official website.
Installed Windows successfully.
However, during boot, it fails to recognize the Windows installation on the boot device and continues to the BIOS.
I’m unsure how to resolve this issue.
I completed every step in this guide:
removed all partitions
activated FTPM, secured boot, and then I installed everything except the issue persists: it still can't locate the bootable windows.
I'm not sure where to search for further help anymore!
It seems you prepared the drive before executing the installer. You should start by running the installer and selecting Custom Install. Then remove all partitions so the drive appears as unallocated space. Highlight the unallocated area and click Next. The installer will set up the partitions, format them, and install Windows.
