Installing Windows 10 on a new PC
Do I need to convert my HDD from MBR to GPT? And what is this GPT? And do I have to do this everytime I install Windows 10? I have only one 1TB HDD. No SSD. I am going to install Windows 10 soon and don't want to mess up anything. Can anyone give me step-by-step process to install Windows 10 on a new PC? I want two partitions of my hard drive. I know how to install windows, but like I said, I don't wanna mess anything up. Mobo: AB350 Gaming 3.
Launch the PC and navigate to BIOS, choosing either DVD/USB as the first boot device based on availability. Save changes and power off. Connect the installation disk or USB drive that holds Windows, format it prior to installation (formatting is necessary), then install Windows. Once installed, use Disk Management to create partitions and adjust the boot priority to prioritize the HDD in BIOS again. You're all set!
