Hello, I just finished setting up my first PC and ran into a problem. After installing Windows 10, it won’t boot properly—just restarts to the black screen and only shows F1, which takes you back to BIOS. I attempted to install it on my M.2 drive; the setup completes all the way to auto-restart. Hardware details: WD BLACK 1TB SSD, WD Black 256GB M.2 SSD, DDR4 16GB, ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F motherboard, Ryzen 5 1600X GPU, Corsair H100i cooler. Updated May 18, 2018 by future12.

The system won’t automatically start in BIOS unless you press the designated key. You’re likely seeing a black screen with a boot warning. I’ll clarify what’s happening and gather your device information.

Turn off the halt feature in the BIOS to restart the process, though it may not resolve the problem but could help you continue

Ensure your bios lists M.2 as SATA and confirm the M.2 card is connected directly to the SATA port without additional devices.
