I own a Beelink SER5 mini PC that I purchased some time ago. It has been running smoothly as a daily Linux Mint machine, but after upgrading from 16GB RAM to 32GB Corsair Vengeance, the system won’t boot. It enters recovery mode and insists on loading a specific kernel. Even after repeatedly selecting different kernels in recovery, it still doesn’t start. Once I reinstalled the original 16GB RAM, it functions normally. The BIOS also boots with the new 32GB RAM, but that’s about all. I verified the 32GB in my laptop using Windows built-in memory testing and saw no problems there. Interestingly, my previous Minisforum HM50 had similar issues—Linux refused to boot with 32GB, but the 16GB worked fine. Once I switched to the Beelink, I simply replaced the Linux Mint SSD and got a smooth boot. I’m really puzzled about what’s causing this problem.

If you haven't already, maybe try to install the latest BIOS update, it might improve RAM compatibility: https://www.bee-link.com/blogs/all/beeli...te-summary

I checked Beelink's guidance for the SER5 5825U, but the BIOS still lists an April 2025 release instead of the July 2025 version I flashed. It did flash successfully, yet the BIOS date remains unchanged. All my BIOS configurations have reset back to factory settings now. There’s also a October 2025 update that addresses an EK problem, but loading it caused an error saying "Error: Failed to load image into memory." Here’s the BIOS link I used since Beelink no longer provides the SER5 directly: https://dr.bee-link.cn/?dir=uploads%2FSE...Lan%2FBIOS

Yes, you placed the working RAM first before proceeding.

All BIOS updates were completed with the RAM included in the Beelink PC.
