During driver setup with GeForce Experience, the screen abruptly went black. After manually shutting down and restarting the PC, everything appears normal and the drivers are listed as installed. While gaming, occasional freezes occurred before. Was the installation finished? Should I be concerned? How can I prevent the game from freezing?

The blackout on the screen during setup is typical and usually harmless. If it lasted longer than a few seconds, the installation process may have failed. Consider reinstalling the GPU drivers after ensuring the current setup is fully removed from your system. Save your GeForce Experience preferences and capture any relevant images. Retrieve the GPU drivers, extract the DDU file, and disconnect your device from the network. Restart Windows in safe mode via Settings → Update & Security → Recovery → click "Restart Now" under Advanced Startup, or press Shift+Restart during power-down. Once in safe mode, locate the extracted DDU files and run them. After rebooting into Windows, follow the prompts to uninstall drivers and restart. Your display drivers should disappear once you log back in. Reconnect your system to the internet and reinstall the GPU drivers.
