Pc started randomly without booting and then refused to log in through Windows. I entered safe mode, backed up my files, but it didn’t work. It took about eight restarts. Initially, I thought the issue was a GPU driver since the NVIDIA app wouldn’t download. After adjusting the processor count in msconfig, I managed to install. I used a USB RAM tester which worked. Now I’m trying to reinstall Windows but I keep getting the error 0x8007025D and can’t progress past the installation screen. I reinstalled the latest BIOS and tried without both RAM sticks. The new BIOS version CMCQE with CPU Boost enabled wouldn’t let me continue, so I had to turn it off. My system runs at 13900k, 4090, 32GB RAM, 6400 MHz CL, 32GB GSKILL RAM on Carbon Wi-Fi Z690. The SSD is an SN850X. I’ve replaced the CPU before.
Install the WD SSD software and perform a thorough health assessment to detect any failing sectors. Determine whether your system runs Windows 11 or 10.
I was using Windows 11, attempting to set up Windows 10. After testing, it worked, but I'm still losing and can't install Windows. I tried using a Hiren's boot CD for the trial.
Check that your MB BIOS is up to date. Hopefully, Elder Gods will help resolve this! It happens twice daily, involving the blood of nearby users and... I'm relying on it to work. It might also be an unexpected problem separate from the Windows setup.
