You should keep the SSD screws and not swap them for motherboard screws. The ones you used are correct for your setup.

Some SSDs come with specific screw types. I also notice PC cases that use different screws for the motherboard, especially when the spacing is larger.

It seems there was a mix-up in the details. I’m focusing on using motherboard screws for an SSD, not the other way around. The chances of damaging anything are minimal unless the screws are overly tight. If they’re secure, it’s best to leave them as is to avoid risking the motherboard.

They seem distinct, I’m not sure if they’re designed to match the same openings. Using one might risk harming the hole, but it won’t necessarily affect the item itself.

The threads are quite different. When you attempt to unscrew the screws, carefully pull up on the board. If the threads don't match, it can cause the board to loosen due to vibrations over time.
