I previously had an RTX 2060 with 6GB RAM and an i5 9400F. For Christmas, I upgraded to a 3070 and added an i9 9900KF. My motherboard is an Asrock B365 Phantom Gaming 4, and I use a Seasonic 500W PSU with all drivers and BIOS updated. Temperatures stay below 60°C even during heavy usage. However, my performance in games like Siege, ForzaH5, and Fortnite is extremely low—worse than before. I’m wondering if there’s an issue and whether a better PSU would help without the hassle of buying another component.
No, it's not the motherboard's issue—it's likely something else affecting the system.
No single motherboard works well; the PSU isn't up to the task, it's time to switch the power supply.
