I needed to update my motherboard and received these instructions. Follow the steps carefully: press Y to reset the fTPM, then press N to retain the old fTPM settings while the system boots. If you have BitLocker or encryption active, the boot won’t start without a recovery key. BitLocker is essentially your Windows key—don’t worry if you’re unsure what it is. You mentioned swapping back to the previous CPU to recover TPM-related data, which seems correct. Yes or no?

Do you own Windows Pro or Home? On the Home version, BitLocker isn't available and you can simply confirm with a yes. If you have the Pro edition with BitLocker enabled, you'll need the decryption key—which isn't your standard Windows key. It should be kept in your Microsoft account.
