Hello everyone, I own a TRX40 Aorus extreme motherboard. I have two 2070 supers with NVLink connected on the first two PCIe slots—16 lanes for the first and 8 lanes for the second. The M2 slot in between holds my Windows OS drive. I’m using an Optane 905 via a M.2 to U.2 adapter, which has functioned well for several years. I’m attempting to install Linux on the second M2 slot beneath the second GPU. After adding the hard drive, it no longer recognizes the second GPU, suggesting I’ve reached the end of the PCIe bus. Is there a solution to this issue? Or should I consider using a different M.2 slot on my board? I saw someone mention reducing the lanes for the second graphics card to four, but I’m not sure if that’s advisable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Best, J
4x 3.0 or 4x 4.0 should be sufficient for a 2070S. https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/M...5b8fc4f319 Motherboard manuals are OP, maybe try setting your other 2070S' to 8x and see if that resolves it. Shouldn't need more than 8x 4.0 for anything other than like a 4090.
