I thought it was possible, I tested during the upgrade to 8.1. The media creation tool generates a UEFI version of it.

Ensure the USB is formatted to FAT32. Transfer all content from the DVD/ISO and insert it onto the drive. Complete the process.

i followed a straightforward process. i used rufus to create a bootable usb stick, then formatted it and used the creation tool to generate a windows 10 installation with UEFI support. everything worked smoothly without any issues.

I begin to suspect it's not the stick but possibly my laptop or its UEFI. I plan to reach out to Lenovo and let them know if I manage to resolve the issue.
