I completed the PC build and already possess a flash drive containing the Windows 11 installer. I followed every step, but once installation begins it caps at 10% and the computer restarts repeatedly. Although it mentions restarting a few times, I remain stuck back to the initial setup menu. Could this be related to a USB or Windows 11 problem? Should I remove any disks or partitions, or should I attempt downloading Windows 10 instead?

For a fresh setup of 11, remove every partition on the disk once you see them after booting from the installer. Only leave empty space. Make sure Secure Boot is turned off.

Confirming, I retain Disk 1 and remove every partition on disk 0 except partition 3 because it's my primary drive.

Ensure only one drive is connected.
Back up any required data before proceeding, as everything will be removed.
Unplug any other drives.
Repeat: connect just one drive.
This drive will receive Windows.
If you try to use more than one, you’ll face issues.
After booting, only the connected drive will display.
Wipe all partitions on that drive and continue installation.
Repeat: remove all partitions.

How To

This guide aims to assist you in performing a clean installation of Windows 11 version 23H2 or later. It can also be used for earlier versions with minor visual differences, though overall the process remains largely consistent. It is strongly advised that you carefully review every step, understand all notes, and pay attention to all linked information before starting the installation or making any changes that could erase data.

I have tried both approaches and the system keeps crashing or shutting down at 10%. Removing all partitions, leaving just unallocated space and the USB where the installer is, worked with secure boot enabled and disabled, using only my main drive. It's possible the USB is causing the problem. I'm planning to try a friend's installation once, and will update after testing. Also, it seems installation instructions vary across different tutorials, sometimes showing a more updated interface.

At 10% it shouldn't restart.
I think there might be memory issues.
Consider using a single RAM module.

I have tested each ram module in every slot, but it still doesn't function. Now I'm considering moving my old gaming laptop's SSD with Windows 10 onto my PC and installing Windows 11 that way, or using the SSD as the main drive. Would that be a viable option?

Transferring the drive from the laptop to this desktop is very unlikely to start up. Fresh OS installation.
