Installation of GIMP 3 Occurs Unauthorized
I'm experiencing a problem with the image software GIMP, specifically GIMP 2, which recently got an update. It seems the update keeps installing automatically without my permission, even though it doesn't overwrite GIMP 2. The new version is installed separately. I'm concerned about installing apps without asking and feel responsible for this situation. I believe I should have control over what runs on my machine.
What operating system are you operating on?
Even when logged in as an administrator, the installation would halt and ask for confirmation.
My GIMP version is 2.10.30 and it's currently paused.
Hi there, sorry for the delayed response.
I'm using Windows 11 and this is my sole user account. My GIMP version is 2.10.38.
I've looked through the task scheduler but found nothing indicating the install is being automatically triggered. I'm quite puzzled.
Appreciate your help.
