passed over the 3200 mark instead of reaching it, landed at 3300. It seems windows can push higher than expected. The second stick was a hassle; bios has issues and won’t start unless both sticks are present during training. Once the first stick trains, remove the second stick in VTT at 1.81v since CPU didn’t scale to 1.83-1.87v. Settings are mostly similar to my 3184 run—just set VTT to 11 and auto-plate 1.4v works. I tried 3300 but failed; actual runs at 10 with 1.3v and auto-plate 1.4v succeeded. I was hoping to beat those L2 hardware runs, especially not with this mid-range i7 930 that doesn’t hit 4800 at 1.6/1.7v or an imc stressing the second stick.
i don’t have the necessary mounting hardware, so i’m going to install another heatsink to prevent it from falling over while it runs. It’s unclear how far this would extend in ln2 given that i just broke all the bloomfield records for both air and ln2 significantly. Now i need to purchase a xeon processor and some ecc gdies to do a bit more trolling with an even worse overclock. I’ll also need a pcie wifi card so i can actually boost my score.
