Installation issues with Windows 10 on M.2 stick from USB on this device. Problems encountered during setup.
I assembled my initial PC build: MSI MAG B550M BAZOOKA GEN 5 READY CPU, 5600 GPU, GIGABYTE RADEON RX 6600, 8GB RAM, SEGOTEP 600W PSU, M.2 7000S with 1TB SSD (Media Creation Tool now shows 32GB instead of the original), and everything functions properly except for the boot process. No EZdebug indicator appears except during startup. I assumed it would be straightforward—insert the drive, open F11, select USB, install. Instead, I encountered numerous issues that others haven’t reported. Here are some points: 1) Blue screen without BSOD, just a blue display followed by shutdown. 2) Orange screen with white bars, preceded by a flickering horizontal line before it stopped working. I couldn’t shut down automatically; I had to turn it off manually. Other similar problems included inability to boot or perform any tasks. BIOS access was normal, and settings could be adjusted. Attempts to fix included switching to UEFI, disabling security boot, etc. On MSI’s site, one suggestion didn’t work because changing to UEFI blocked reverting to legacy mode. I tried different USB ports, formatted the stick, reinstalled Windows, and used the Media Creation Tool which automatically adjusted the format. BIOS was updated from A5 to AA0 (same USB). For clarity, when removing the drive it vanishes from the list, showing "UEFI USB Hard Disk: UEFI: Generic, partition1" instead of a real disk—indicating it wasn’t recognized as a hard drive. My CPU runs at 3.5GHz and RAM is 2400MHz. Could this be why the system fails to detect or communicate with the USB? Or are there other hardware concerns despite no visible lights on the motherboard?
