Hello, I’m encountering an issue while setting up an Intel NIC (x540 T2) on my system. It’s running an i5 10400 on a Gigabyte B460m gaming board. With the card installed, everything functions normally. After installing the operating system, it operates perfectly. I’ve adjusted the display settings to IGFx and turned on internal graphics in the BIOS, but adding the NIC still results in a black screen. I tested this on another machine with an i5 9400 and a Gigabyte B365M DS3H, which also showed the same problem. My previous system had a working NIC before, so it worked then. Removing the card resolved the issue. BIOS was set to IGFx as the initial display. This suggests the NIC is likely the main cause. I’ve tried swapping cards without fixing the problem. In short, two systems are functioning correctly on their own, but installing a NIC causes a black screen in all cases. One system with a previously installed NIC worked before. I’m really puzzled and would appreciate any advice. SohaibAJ
