I replaced my i5 10400F with an i7 10700KF without updating the BIOS first. The system starts up but there’s no display output, and I can’t flash the BIOS because my monitor doesn’t show anything and the motherboard’s I/O lacks a BIOS flash button. It’s frustrating Sad( Also, swapping back to the i5 didn’t fix the issue.

Did you attempt to clear the CMOS settings while using the previous CPU model?

I utilized the previous CPU and reconfigured the CMOS; it seems functional now but won’t allow access to the BIOS or causes a black screen otherwise.

Disconnect power source (remove power cable) Disconnect battery Wait 10-30 seconds Reconnect battery and power supply Then plug back in The processors require a graphics card connected, not the motherboard connectors. Ensure HDMI/DisplayPort/VGA cable is attached to the video card, not the motherboard ports. Verify CPU power cable is connected. Power on the PC. If problems persist, consider updating the BIOS. During a black screen, you might still use a PS/2 keyboard and boot from a USB drive with the BIOS file or the update tool. Avoid proceeding until you resolve the issue.

Your motherboard is an ITX model with a single visible CMOS button. After pressing it for 30 seconds and reinserting the cable, the system still doesn’t display.

What GPU, and how's the monitor connected?

Pin bent or loose on the MB unit causes a mismatch in the pin configuration, leading to varying outcomes.

The MB has no bent pins, and it’s an HDMI cable from my 3070ti to my monitor. I’m certain I damaged the BIOS, so I’ll need to bring it to a specialist.
