Hello, I'm facing an issue during the update process. The system keeps restarting, but after three attempts the CPU debug lights up (MSI B350 Tomahawk) and it fails to start. Restoring it requires powering off and rebooting manually, which breaks the update and reverts it back to version 1703—the original release. Specs: R5 1600 MSI B350 Tomahawk F4-3000C16S-8GISB (listed on the motherboard support list). No overclocking has been applied. Anyone experiencing a similar problem?
My encounter with the 1709 update was extremely unpleasant. Everything seemed slow and choppy. I couldn't even play movies in VLC... tried a scan with sfc, updated everything, restarted the PC, checked the event viewer for issues... after two days I went back to version 1703 and it worked perfectly again. I won’t bother with the 1709 update for the next 35 days (that’s the limit I can afford to pause updates).
I recently upgraded my PC to the Fall Creator's Update. It stopped when I asked it to fetch updates. After it restarted itself, I told it not to pull updates and it functioned perfectly. I think it attempted to install drivers or other system software that didn't fit well on my machine.
@manikyath I tried 2 times, and the Bios was updated in july (there has been 1 update since then), nothing like you mentioned, but I do use MSI Afterburner 4.40+ rivatuner 7.0.0 As for drivers I have an R9 280X GPU, with 17.7.2 driver installed + 17.30 am4 chipset driver.
