I recently purchased a new PC with a Ryzen 5 3600. I was considering a B550 motherboard but only B450M-Pro II was in stock, so I had no option. Once the PC was built, I connected my bootable USB to begin installing Windows 10, which immediately showed the "Unsupported Processor" error. I assumed a BIOS update might help. After updating, the issue persisted. The website confirmed compatibility, but I still faced the same problem. I reinstalled the bootable drive using Rufus and created a new USB, but the error remained. I reset the BIOS to defaults, checked the CMOS battery, swapped RAM slots, and even tried installing Windows 11, yet the problem continued. I attempted to install with just one RAM stick without success. I’ve also experimented with different BIOS settings—changing TPM versions didn’t resolve it—and switched USB drives, but nothing worked. I managed to install Linux Mint without issues. Do you need to adjust BIOS settings for a Windows OS?

Consider reaching out to the motherboard maker for assistance. This might be the best guidance I can offer.

The search results suggest the CPU lacks the required instructions for Windows 10, possibly indicating a faulty processor. Further testing is needed to confirm.
