Hello, your recent upgrade from the 3700X to the 5900X is visible in the signature. After launching PUBG, the game often crashes within a minute, and the CPU temperatures hit 87-88°C. That might be the cause. Thanks!

The game should remain stable even at temperatures around 87-88°C during intense gaming sessions. There’s likely insufficient cooling due to poor pressure on the cooler or a need for fresh thermal paste.

I understand your feedback. The graphics have improved noticeably, going from 3700x to 5800x last week. No problems with any games. Temperatures are currently in the low 80s during full CPU loads. What kind of cooler are you using? Did you replace it with a model for the 5900x?

The Cryorig H5 isn't the best match for a 5900X, though it might work okay for casual gaming—especially light games like PUBG. I wouldn’t expect it to hit close to 90°C. Have you turned on PBO? If yes, you might want to disable it. The 3700X and 5900X have very different power needs; what worked before won't be the same now.

I changed the BIOS and chipset drivers. I attempted to reapply the thermal paste three times using noctua nh2, but it didn’t work. I missed something: while the PC was linked to my UPS (APC 650), it displayed a strange error—red light and a 30-second beep—just before the game crashed!
