I’ve managed to get the Windows 11 ISO. Before switching from Windows 10, I’m checking if it can run in Oracle VirtualBox.

It should function properly. Virtualbox is built to generate a boot setup for an .iso file, which explains why it seems appropriate. Are you using hardware that isn't officially supported by Windows 11? If your system is running the intended hardware from Microsoft, upgrading should be straightforward. The software is largely compatible with Windows 10, so you should encounter no problems. I'm currently testing it on a pre-release version without any issues.

I own a HP gaming PC equipped with an Intel i5-10400, 12 GB RAM, a Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card, a 250 GB M.2 SSD, and a 1 TB hard drive. Before making any changes, I plan to try it out first. Many people worry that switching to another Windows version might not be ideal.

If there are any worries, I suggested waiting a few weeks to ensure everything is stable.

Just to let you know, there's an issue with Windows 11 and Virtualbox where a Windows 11 install in a VM on Virtualbox won't boot.

Hopefully soon Oracle VirtualBox will release a fix. I’m testing Window 11 in a VM to explore options before upgrading. Also worried about reduced gaming performance.
