Looking forward to setting up a new rig, it's been quite some time since I owned a PC. I'm curious if Windows 10 can be installed using USB 3.0. I don't have a 2.0 port or an optical drive bay for a 5.25-inch drive. I've checked various sources, but I keep seeing issues with Windows 7 when trying USB 3.0 because of missing drivers. Since I'm doing a clean install, please let me know if there are any additional steps involved. Thanks ahead!

What kind of motherboard are you using? It seems it doesn’t have any 2.0 sockets. I haven’t tried installing from a USB3 yet, but once the BIOS is updated and you have a new motherboard, it should work.

I purchased the Corsair 570x case with just three front ports. For an AM4 board I'm weighing the ASRock X370 Taichi versus the Gigabyte Gaming K7 (or K5). The Gigabyte model supports headers for 2.0 but only has 3.0 on the rear I/O. While not fully certain about the Taichi, it seems similar to the K7 in that regard.

Yes, it appears that 3.0 drivers have been present from the beginning, unlike in previous versions.
