Hello. I’m considering transferring Windows 10 from my existing PC to a new one by downloading it onto a USB drive. Is that a viable option?

I believed the operating system treated the motherboard differently. After swapping the hard drives in a Windows 7 setup between two identical laptop models, I had to recreate the serial numbers and verify the OS again.
