I've been attempting to get steam working since it's now public, but after fixing it, I still face a black screen or no output. I've checked through igpu and my own GPU, both gave the same issue. Once I formatted the drive and restarted the process, the problem persisted.

SteamOS isn't suitable for desktop environments. For optimal compatibility with the 9070 XT, consider using a distro with the latest kernel and Mesa updates. CachyOS KDE is a good option to explore.

If you're considering giving SteamOS another shot: I've set it up on my system (all AMD models) recently and everything is running smoothly with the expected performance. The only variations are a 7000 series CPU and GPU, which may have slightly older drivers, and no RAID setup. If you're like me, I'd recommend installing SteamOS fresh on a single NVMe SSD without RAID to test. Enjoy gaming!

I don’t rely on raid; I just have it installed. I’m dual booting Bazzite OS and Windows.

It's true, I've had no problems so far.

It seems to depend on proper configuration. (Not really, right?) Randomgaminginhd and others use SteamOS.
