I purchased a fresh case, PSU, and SATA SSD, placing everything inside. An older SATA SSD occasionally shows up but rarely appears. My previous boot drive—a compact M.2 SSD—occasionally boots but often struggles. Running Userbenchmark on it returned "sequential benchmark incomplete." The 1 TB M.2 SSD seems to function properly. My HDD also works as expected. The new SATA SSD is flagging an error in the benchmark: "Relative performance n/a - RAM cached drive detected." I removed my CPU overclock and disabled XMP for RAM. Before testing, I suspected a faulty SATA cable was disrupting the boot process and causing delays. My new PSU is a Seasonic Prime 1300W. I have an Intel 8700K with 2x16GB at 3200MHz RAM, running on an Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming ITX/AC motherboard, paired with a 5700XT graphics card. The SSD that usually isn’t detected is a Mushkin MKNSSDRE1TB; the slow booting drive is a Samsung 960 Evo 250GB. The brand new SATA SSD is a Samsung 8704TB, while the RAM-cached drive shows an error in benchmarks. The HDD appears to be functioning well—a HGST Deskstar 7200RPM 8TB. The other SATA SSD seems to work without issues, a Intel 660P 2TB.

Have you removed your old power supply unit? Did you check the system using just the boot drive before adding more drives one at a time?

Would you like to check for unusual Mobo activity? Did you clear the CMOS? Your power supply seems to be handling things fine.
