In short, I'm attempting to set up the preview version of OptiFine for Minecraft 1.14.1, but I encounter this error. I've tried reinstalling Minecraft and looked up the issue online, but it's still unclear what's happening.

It seems Optifine is searching for a missing or incorrect file. It might be best to delete all Optifine versions and reinstall Minecraft and Optifine once more.

It's fine, it functions now. I don't know what altered it, but it works.

No reason to tinker further with it if it works
The installer might have misplaced a file ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Execute the installation with administrator privileges. Certain files in restricted areas are flagged as dangerous and are ignored during writing. Ensure your antivirus is disabled, as it may delete files on the disk during setup. If the issue persists, retrieve the file from the web and manually place it into the required directory. This suggests the downloaded installer might be corrupted or outdated. You can update to a previous version through the startup application.

The main goal is that it's "unstable."
