Have you checked the logs? They often highlight issues during installation, such as missing links or directories, or reminders that you didn’t use su credentials for the setup.

The issue isn't with the drivers. It's the laptop monitor itself. When connected to the external monitor, it works, but when left on, it doesn't show anything.
