When my Logitech Pro X Superlight fails to connect automatically to my PC at startup, the same happens with other USB devices except the keyboard. As a beginner on Linux, I need guidance on resolving this so I don’t have to revert to Windows. Appreciate any advice!

For the newest hardware, consider updating the kernel or installing the latest Ubuntu version, such as 21.04 or 21.10.

Hello! Since November I’ve been using Linux permanently, probably because of a driver problem. Is your PC a laptop, a custom setup, or a ready-made tower? (I’m checking to locate some USB drivers.) Or, open the Software Updates app and pick the drivers section. You should see some available drivers there! Edited January 3, 2022 by GDRRiley MOD: removed info

My PC is a custom setup, and I wasn't able to locate any drivers in the Software Updates app. It seems that whenever I remove my Power-play mouse pad, the mouse works immediately. The other USB device only functions after I take it out and plug it back in. This issue appears every time I power on the PC, but everything works normally after a restart. The same happens with the mouse when I turn it off and then back on again. Appreciate your help.

The version you're using, Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, is still current and up-to-date. It's a stable release suitable for most needs.

This information is up-to-date and suggested for Canonical users. Verify your mouse configuration. Your system appears to restrict to a single mouse at once, possibly related to Linux.

It doesn't affect your setup because you're not using more than one mouse.

It seems like you're asking about switching to a different mouse setup. Did you remove your mousepad and the physical mouse stopped functioning? You might want to try using two mice at once to test performance.

Using several mice is fine; either one can move the cursor. The mouse pad is only for charging the wireless mouse, which doesn’t explain the issue. I’ve noticed USB devices function properly in BIOS but fail when starting Ubuntu. A wired mouse works without problems, while a wireless one causes issues. It seems Ubuntu struggles with just the wireless mouse and the audio interface. The wireless mouse seems to work again after unplugging and reconnecting the charger pad. The audio interface only activates after being unplugged and then plugged back in. I’ll check if Ubuntu actually recognizes these devices after a fresh boot. Updated January 4, 2022 by CVKetel37

I would perform a refresh update via the system settings menu next.
