Well, I’d rely on GPT fully unless there’s a requirement for older systems. Since it’s not a boot disk (based on what I hear), GPT completely replaces the MBR.

I understand your point if it were my disk, but I’m unsure about the OP’s future requirements. It seems they handled it simply so more details are available.
