I bought this Chromebook myself for school, but it’s really slow even during light tasks. The trackpad feels unreliable and the device gets extremely hot quickly. My parents keep telling me I shouldn’t use anything else for school because it was meant for my 1200 dollar PC, which runs everything smoothly and stays cool. They want me to give up on my better machine and stick to the old one. I’m thinking about permanently damaging this device so I can finally use my proper computer without worrying about performance or overheating. I need a way to reset it if I ever decide to switch back.
