The recorded data from HWMonitor is included in the attached video. My CPU consistently attempts to operate around 4.9-5.0 GHz even when idle, suggesting it may not be functioning optimally. This observation leads me to believe my system isn’t performing as efficiently as it should. One factor to note is I’m connected via an external monitor using Type-C (DP) with G-sync enabled, while my laptop lacks a MUX switch—indicating performance limitations there. Despite this, achieving 100 FPS in Apex Legends still feels like only 40 FPS. The irregular fluctuations in CPU clock speeds don’t appear to directly impact frame rate. I’ve set the FPS limit to 140 in the Nvidia control panel, enabled v-sync, and activated g-sync compatible mode, yet the experience remains frustratingly similar to running on an older GTX 970 with an i5 6500. There’s no noticeable difference in performance. When all fans are running at full speed (both laptop and cooling pad), the CPU temperature stays below 90°C. TVB uses a CPU that can reach up to 5.1GHz, which means it won’t be limited by heat during idle times, so boosting to 5GHz in short periods is normal. When using an external monitor, the iGPU is usually disabled, allowing full performance. On laptops, you’ll likely notice higher temperatures because the CPU and GPU share a single cooler. The question remains why the CPU seems to be the bottleneck.

TVB uses a CPU that can reach up to 5.1GHz, which means it won’t be limited by heat during idle times, so boosting to 5GHz in short periods is normal. When using an external monitor, the iGPU is usually disabled, allowing full performance. On laptops, you’ll likely notice higher temperatures because the CPU and GPU share a single cooler. due to instability, it fluctuates between frequencies—dropping down to 800 MHz and jumping back up to higher values like 4.5, then 4.0, 4.9, and finally 2.5. This irregular behavior wasn’t following a clear pattern, which is why you’re having trouble. I changed it to use a dGPU only in the BIOS to avoid this issue, but it still doesn’t seem to be working well. Everything else on the system appears normal.

CPU models PL1 and PL2 operate at 75W each, while PL4 runs at 165W. The GPU is functioning at 115W with dynamic boost enabled (15W). I could adjust it to 130W, but I want to avoid any CPU bottleneck. Regarding power plan settings, they remain at the default configuration (no changes made).
