I'm exploring mobile graphic design opportunities and am considering a few options within an $800 budget. I've found two laptops that caught my attention: the Acer and the Dell. Both offer 16GB of memory and sufficient storage, though I'm not too focused on those technical details. My main concerns are the CPU, GPU, and available ports. The Acer model features an Intel Core i5-13500HX with an RTX 4050 graphics card, while the Dell model is a Ryzen 7 7840HS with an RTX4060. I think the Acer has a slightly better display and includes an RGB keyboard, which could be useful in dim lighting. I'm also interested in having multiple USB ports that can connect to a second screen for home use. Ultimately, I'm trying to decide between future-proofing and cost-effectiveness.

Review of the notebook ended in 2022. A small update called NotebookTalk was introduced, but it's quite outdated.

I've already done some checking and have a notion, though I'm still uncertain. I'm curious about the perspectives of someone who might understand more than just the fundamental details and could possibly offer a more practical experience with both options.

If you're referring to the site at https://www.notebookcheck.net/, they tend to be quite active unless this particular review was producing many articles daily.

The individual I replied to mentioned Notebook Review, a prominent forum active from at least 2008 until recently. It was succeeded by NotebookTalk.net, not Notebookcheck.net (my oversight). I updated my post to reflect the correct website name I was considering.

I'm also willing to consider suggestions. Aiming to keep costs around $800 or less.

For intensive graphic design tasks, a ThinkPad Mobile Workstation such as the P series is ideal. These options may exceed your budget, but they are essential for this type of work.
