PotPlayer v1.7.21525 (July 2021)
ASRock B550M Pro4 motherboard with built-in Realtek ALC1200 audio
Realtek Audio Driver v6.0.9147.1 (April 2021)
Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system with user guide
Corsair HS60 Pro Surround Gaming Headset with manual
Cooler Master MasterBox NR400 case
In PotPlayer preferences under Audio, Speakers are set to 3/0/2+LFE (5.1 Channels). This configuration functions correctly with my speakers.
However, when connecting headphones to the front-panel audio jack of the case, PotPlayer still displays 5.1 channels, causing missing audio channels when watching 5.1 content.
Are there alternative solutions beyond adjusting PotPlayer's audio settings?

With my 5.1 speakers control pod, I can switch to stereo even when Windows is set to 5.1 while using headphones. The adjustment happens after the fact and it works. If I connect HF to the FPA on the case for louder volume, I need to set Realtek to stereo so the sound remains normal. You'll be the same. Switching speaker settings isn't a hassle at all.
