brother is the x570 gaming model, but I haven't located the asus tuf or gigabyte aurus elite.
It’s not terrible, but there are definitely superior choices since the x570 comes with a high price tag. It falls short compared to the top models in several areas:
- Wired LAN uses Realtek instead of Elite Intel controllers (irrelevant if you use Wi-Fi)
- No USB 3.1 (USB-C) support whatsoever, front or rear (elite boards have internal headers but you’ll need a compatible case)
- Audio quality is outdated (older ALC887 vs newer 1200 series chips); only half the audio connectors are present on the back.
- The VRM (power delivery to CPU) is a step down from elite specs, though still acceptable.
If these aspects are important to you, it’s up to you. There’s a tier list available that might help, but remember it’s mainly based on VRM details and doesn’t reflect real-world suitability for your needs.
For optimal performance with a 3900X or higher at stable VRM temperatures, I’d recommend going with Tier B or higher. Just avoid Biostar boards no matter what tier you pick—they’re too small for your setup.
Availability can be tricky too; some PSUs and motherboards are hard to find, and when they are, prices tend to be exorbitant.
