I remember the solution clearly when setting up my system, but I think I lost track and can't find it in the manual. If I install a Gen 5 SSD into the slot on my Asrock X670e PRO RS motherboard, will it impact the RX6950XT GPU in the Gen 5 x16 slot below? I know the GPU was designed for Gen 4 and has more lanes, but I'm not sure if adding another SSD in that M.2_1 slot affects its performance. Any advice would be appreciated. They each have their own Gen5 lanes. By the way, all Asrocks AM5 boards come with these useful block diagrams.

This B650E refers to a specific motherboard model, not the standard itself. Each unique motherboard design will have its own diagram.

Zen 4 can accommodate one or two PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots without affecting the graphics card lanes, though Intel Z690/Z790 does not support this, possibly explaining your concern.
