I just assembled a new PC, but the hard drive I connected is blank. When I try to start it, a warning about no drive to boot appears. I understand I need an operating system on the drive, but I’m unsure how to do that. Do you have two other working Windows PCs at home?

Create a Windows installation disk, preferably on a USB stick, and then start the USB to boot into the installation process on your main drive.

I’m not very experienced with this yet. To make a Windows installation media, you’ll need to follow the right steps, and the USB drive should be at least the size of the installation file. Let me know if you need more details!

Microsoft offers a utility that allows you to build a USB flash drive which your computer can start from and install Windows on. The drive must be at least 16 GB for reliability. https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 You should purchase a Windows license from an authorized Microsoft reseller to ensure a genuine setup.

They say you don’t have to pay to use it legally. Just make sure it’s for personal use, has a watermark on your screen, and you’re willing to pay if you want to change the look of your interface.

Hi, I just received the USB file you provided and it’s intended for setting up a new computer. After installing everything and booting up, I followed the instructions to install Windows. However, when trying to install Windows on one of my drives, all drives show compatibility issues—some warn it will fail soon or suggest converting the drive. I attempted to change the boot drive, but the system still reports incompatibility. I’m not sure what to do next.
