I’m setting up a new PC and am having trouble locating the 4+4 PSU connector on the motherboard. It’s marked for the CPU, but I’m unsure if it needs to be connected. Could someone clarify where it should go?

What kind of motherboard are you using? And what type of power supply do you have connected?

It won’t follow the standard 4 plus 4 setup. You might skip using that cable.

It will function best when it needs significant stable power, especially for overclocking. Usually, just one of the two is used, as the PSU is designed to handle various tasks.
