My new disk is not visible in my computer; therefore, I assume I need to format it. Since I will be doing this, I wanted to know which type of format I should perform. So I will proceed with NTFS.

I have one more question.
I want to utilize the new SSD (2TB) as my primary OS and use the old SSD (1TB) to run the VM.
Is there a straightforward method to create a duplicate of my current OS onto the new SSD?

Well, yes... we can accomplish this. Cloning.
But....
What motherboard?
What drives?
Are they both connected and operational?

Okay, let's proceed... thank you for your time.
The motherboard is ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING.
The old SSD is a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB.
The new SSD is a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB.
