the cpu fans connect to the hub while the hub attaches to the cpu fan connector. many systems use two cpu fan headers allowing the hub to fit in one place and the fans in another. edited november 20, 2022 by thrasher_565

Chassis fans go into the header, and a Y splitter can connect the Noctua fans to one CPU fan port. Which manuals apply depends on your specific setup.

The 'A' in Shared control stands for 'Automatic'. It means the system can switch between manual and automatic modes without human intervention.

They seem to ignore the CPU fan temperature, though I can't be sure.

I prefer this setup where every fan is connected to the same hub. Then the hub connects directly to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard. Easy to manage all fans from one spot.

This affects how you determine fan speeds for the front fans. Regarding the exhaust, adding a 140 mm is a good suggestion. You managed to fit it in by doubling the cable length. The case photo is useful for planning cable routing. Modern GPUs are quite large; your current 1070 model is older and may need an upgrade soon if you want better performance.

It seems like it could work fine without adjustments. The fans remain steady at 40% unless I notice high CPU usage, which prompts them to increase. For most tasks, they don’t fluctuate much. I only turned them up for a bit of extra lighting in the upper left corner—it’s not essential since the setup handles the heat well. The main issue is the limited cable space at the back, especially with the RGB model. I don’t have a photo, but it looks a bit unappealing there. Overall, I’m okay as long as I can access the rear panel without constant glancing.

I don’t have the RGB version—just the tinted glass one. I originally planned for the steel case, but it wasn’t in stock. The tinted glass was available for $60 less. I’m hoping for some better cable management to make this build look professional.
