Inquiry about combining RAM from two distinct manufacturers
I purchased the Gigabyte AB350 GAMING 3 motherboard and secured a good offer from Micro-Center in Spring 2018, including an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU combo. My current setup features two distinct RAM brands: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2400 MHz and G-SKILL RIPJAWS DDR4 2400 MHz. Previously it ran at 2133 MHz without XMP support. After upgrading to 2400 MHz with XMP enabled, the system has shown remarkable stability. Regarding mixing RAM from different manufacturers, this should not cause problems as long as the total memory capacity remains within the specifications of your motherboard.
Well that's good it's been stable and it looks awesome with the red and black colors on my Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 motherboard. I wasn't able to get the red set of Kingston Fury Hyper X RAM back in Spring of 2018. So I bought the last pair of G.Skill ones a few months later. And so far it's stable no issues with XMP or the motherboard.
